InShortFF is a short film festival promoting international collaboration, cultural dialogue and diversity. After very successful first edition last year with just two sold out screenings in London, UK & Dinan, France we have decided to take festival further this year. We will run our second edition in September 2015 with multiple screenings in East London and abroad.

We’re looking for highly motivated individuals, passionate about film, who want to develop their career in the film and event production industry.

InShortFF ‘15 Front Of House Assistant:

We are looking for Front Of House Team Members that will be available during the festival period: Tuesday 1st, Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September between 16.00 – 23.00 and throughout the day on Saturday 5th September 2015.

Voluntary Position

InShortFF  is looking for a number of Front Of House and Event Management roles to assist with the delivery of our second edition of the festival. We are currently recruiting for a number of Front of House Assistant to act as first point of contact with our international audience. This post will give you a chance to support an International Festival, learn more about event management and receive training from industry experts.

As InShortFF ‘15 Front of House Assistant you will:
* Be the first point of contact, greeting audience and informing them about the different strands from the festival programme
* You will respond to any customer request face to face, collect feedbacks and support other ad hoc customer care activities
* You will work closely with other festival departments: programming, marketing and event management

Applicants must have:
* Availability to work during the festival
* Excellent customer service skills
* Be able to accurately handle money and stock
* Strong communication skills, including the ability to understand and respond to written and spoken instructions and briefings. The knowledge of a second language would be a plus, but not essential
* Be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
* Be positive and highly-motivated, with the ability to work pro-actively and flexibly in a friendly, enthusiastic and helpful manner with a wide range of people
* Previous experience in working in cinemas, theatres, heritage or retail sector would be desirable, although we will provide training to successful applicants

We will provide you with a full day training:
* InShort Film Festival Ambassador Training
* Principles of Customer Service and Cultural Awareness for Customer Service Training
* Disability awareness training in Customer Service

Portuguese/English (vice versa) translators

You will be required to work in the first two weeks of August and then again from the end of September till mid October.

Voluntary Position

InShort Film Festival is looking for Portuguese/English (vice versa) translators to help with translating subtitles for short films that will be screened in Brazil and the UK in Autumn.
If you love films and have experience with translation, use this unique opportunity to work at an international film festival and get in touch.
